After years of using the same wood board I found that my favourite chopping board was cracking. It had lost it's 'life' and dried out completely. I figured that there must be a way to condition the wood that both protects it as well as nourishes it to feel great, look smooth and prevent cracking. I love my board. I wanted to keep it forever... 

I went to work thinking "what do I know about treating wood for weathering and furniture protection?" - especially outdoor furniture and thought back to my beekeeping experience with bee hives... 

As a beekeeper, I treat my bee hives with beeswax and linseed oil. These bee hives last outside in the sun and rain for years without a secondary treatment! But this wouldn't work with an edible wood board surface. I experimented for months to find the best combination of natural ingredients which would keep for long and provide the best conditioning possible. The best wood wax balm to nourish my favourite wood boards that you can use too! 

Now I treat my wood boards every 3-4 days sometimes, once a week. They look and feel amazing, smell better and are easier to wash now too!
